SEIHUKU
From tomorrow, my some Japanese friends and I will wear Seihuku, which is the costium for Japanese high school. The reasons fo wearing it are for making memory of the American high life and saving money to wash clothings. My friends feel that the life is bored and no excitment in the world. I don't understand why they got the idea wearing Seihuku from. When they asked me to put in it, I didn't want to do that becasue it may make a barrier between Japanese and other countries. However, my friends will graduate this year, so I try to think about it as some kind of job. My first job is to find my Seihuku which I dont remember where I put. I wish tomorrow wouldn't be hot because Seihuku isn't good enough through air.

September 1st
My life haven't changed since my school started. I go to sleep at 11 and get up at 5. I am surprised that I just sleep 6 hours. I don't think it's short, but I should boast myself that I could continue to do this life-style for 2 weeks. Fortunately, drowsiness doesn't effect my school, so I could get good grades on tests except PRE-CALCULUS. This subject is kind of hard becasue I need to memorize small details and to solve questions carefully. So, my resolution is to get A in this class. Although this class is hard, I feel that the teacher is great and I like this class and subject.
I finally started to work on SAT becasue I will take the test next year.
This is much harder than Pre-Cal, but I enjoy reading it. So, I wish I could read good
writing on the next year's test. If I could continue to the life style, which I explained above, I might get a good score on SAT someday.

Do I have summer?
I dicided to read 100 books for a year and I finished 5 or 6 of them. The reasons to read books are my friend recommendation. He told me that the most important thing to learn languege is to read a lot of books. It is exactly what Beth-san said. I always asked someone how I study English. However I didn't try to do them until a month ago.

My favorite cuisine is Chinese because it is made of a lot of sea food, meats, and vegetables. It is different from Japanese cuisine and I am impressed by the Chinese taste. Japanese food is light and weak while Chinese one is thick and tasty. A Chinese dish can be divided by 10 kinds of taste depends on restaurant. Each cuisine has particular recipe and taste is completely different. So, there are uncountable dishes in China. When considering why Chinese food is so tasty, I notice two main points: ingredients and spices.
China is really big country that farms as well as fish, so they are able to make many ingredients. Over 300 million of people in China work in agriculture. China mainly produces the following: rice, wheat, potatoes, tea, pork, barley, and fish. Ten percent of China’s land can produce enough food to support twenty percent of the world population. In addition to China’s wide production of ingredients, China is a country that makes a wide variety of dishes. Because each state in China produces a different style of food, each taste represents a different society and culture.
A traditional meal in China consists of 108 dishes called “Manchu Han Imperial Feast.” When wealthy people celebrate, they eat 108 dishes to spread over the course of a couple of days. My Favorite Bedroom
My bedroom is not the same as American-style because I don’t use a bed. In Japan, people use futon which is kind of bed on a particular ground which is called tatami. A tatami is a traditional Japanese floor made out of a type of grass. Tatami floors keep the room cool and deodorized, which is very nice during the humid Japanese summers. A tatami room can also be a living room, with just a table as an addition, because Japanese people eat while sitting on the floor. Every morning, we put up our futons so they don’t get in the way as we walk around and do our work in our rooms. Every night, we put down our futons to sleep. Futons are not only convenient for small spaces, but good for our backs and health. I find that when I sleep on a soft bed, my back hurts, whereas when I sleep on a futon, I feel great in the mornings.
When I came to America, I was shocked that there was no tatami and I couldn’t believe that I would sleep on the bed. For a few days, I wasn’t able to sleep through the night and I struggled with sleeping on a bed. I didn’t like the soft feeling but I got used to sleeping on an American bed as well as the constant back pains. This didn’t last for long. Since the following incident happened, I haven’t slept on an American bed. A month ago, when I was trying to sleep on it, it made sounds like the bed was really old. Then I thought that I should change it soon. One night, when I was having a dream, suddenly the house began to tremble and collapsed. I woke up screaming, “This is a big earthquake!” Everyone came to my room. I thought it was an earthquake but my bed had just collapsed. The next day, I slept on the ground with my futon because I didn’t want to have that experience again. I still sleep on a futon and I don’t have back problems every morning. Every morning, I put up my futon to make my room clear. Every night, I put down my futon to sleep. This habitual routine provides good exercise and helps me maintain a daily schedule.

When I have a time, I always go to the Heritage Library which is a little bit far from my home because my room always has over 35 dgree C!!!!!! Of course, I can't study there. Anyway, Today I went to the library and studyed 5 hours. If I go to there, I can forcus on my studying. So, library is my heven!

My writing is so slow and I thought that if my writing is slow, it is not good for my brian. So, I am wondaring about it right now. Why I thought abouti it is to spend too much more than everyone because even though normal people spend an hour to do a certine homework I spend as twice much as them and they will remain my brain as same as them. Yesterday
Yesterday, I went to a theater with my friends and we watched "Get Smart". It was a nice movie but in the movie there were some "Shimoneta(??? retarted???)" words. When people who was this movie and heard these words, we laughted too much. Anyway, we had a good time because I sat really hot girl next to me, so I was really exited about it more than the movie!!!!

10days!
I didn't post a diary ten days because I had prepared for finals. So, it wasn't hard and I got three As so far. I want to write many things right now but I will write what happened today.
July 19th 2008 is really nice day because I woke up at 7:00 (I've never waken up after 6:45 since I came U.S.) and I didn't study. After I ate breakfast(do I need to put a before that breakfast??), I was wandering and wondaring at living. And I realized that today, we will invite my tutor and her family for lunch. I didn't forget it! But it wasn't a big deal because I already clean my room and living, so I was excited that they will come.
At 12:30, they came my house and we ate foot which Mom made from yesterday and talk. Then I was a little bit crazy because I ironically talk about my family because I was stopid and I felt that I have better English skills that them. What a ailly as I am!!!!
I dicided I am NOT going to think about like that becasue many people taught and will teach me ENGLISH, so I can use English!!!!!
But, I had a really good time if they don't think it was not good time.

Summer school
From today, I will start to go summer school and I will take Health and English class. I hope it's going to be fun!!!
After I took these classes, I felt so bad because I have to take them for two hours each classes!!!!!! Recently, gus prise is up and I always walk to school and see a board which shows gasoline prise. When I saw it couple weeks ago, it was 4.30 or 4.28(I'm not sure). but I went to school before finals, it was 4.45 - 4.50. Now, It is 4.64!!!!!!! It's crazy but isn't it good for the Earth?????

Sad News
In Japan, a stranger killed 7 people and he wanted to kill somebody after arrested he said that. First, he was driving his car and hit three people. After that he got off from his car and he used a knife to four people. It happened at the Akihabara where is close to the Tokyo station. Even though japan is not able to use the gun but people who try to kill use the knife. If Japan were able to use the gun I couln't imagine that what would happen.

Have you ever read BIOGRAPY OR AUTOBIOGRAPY books before? When I read it before I was able to sleep really fast. I was wondaring that whether I do like books or not, so I read a book which was science ficton. But I didn't sleep then. So, I got it that biograpy is not interesting.

Sleepy
I'm so sleepy now because I'm sleepy. I can't think about anything except girls. I'm just kidding! I have a strange skill to hear small sounds even TV's sound that when we turn TV off TV only screan, we can hear ZII..ZII sound. And when my parents spoke quietly, I can hear everything what parents talked about. Especially, I always listen music the lowest volume.

Last week, I don't have energy to study English because I told last time that my tutor and my parents told me that your work was sloppy and horrible. So, I was depressed to everything. Project
I had a science and history projects to do as homework. History was easy to do it because everyone worked so hard and we made a really good movie. We were able to choose movie or powerpoint and it is due Monday but we already finished this work on last Saturday.
On the other hand, science project was horrible. We were able to finish it today but when we tried to make it nobody in my group work even to collect information, so I have to make it myself. After I made it, I showed my members, however they said "It's not good and we should do it again." THEY DID'NT WORK!!!!
Even though, my report isn't good, what should we do as a group? I told members let work together and do your work........... Anyway, I don't care about it because we were done.

Today, my mom took new tutor without my allowance and I did'nt know that new tutor came home. Anyway, new tutor came home and she taught me how to get a good score at the TOEFL. But she really taught fast which means she answered immediately before I think about it. Is it good????

Birthiday
Today is my birthday. Nobody called me untill 3 o`clock. When my friends called me after three o`clock, I talked them for 10 minutes or more and when I saw my e-mail I got 100 of it which was from Japanese friends. I didn't feel that today was my birthday because when I was a middle school student I was in dormitory. In my school, we have a really big free board which shows everyone's birthday so, we can check when students birthday are and we grandly celebrated.

Help me Dad.
Today, I asked Dad how to change my study habit that I tend to do homework sloppy as I wrote yesterday. He thought about it for a long time and gave me an answer. First I should make files to order homework, Second I should clean up my room, Third .... oh I forgot.

SAAAAAAD
I felt so bad today because I went to cram school and took my class. When my teacher checked my homework, she said your homework is terrible and it's messy. And she also told me "you have to do your homework correctly and exactly." I knew it and am trying to do better.
After I went home when I told my parents what she said, they told me so many things that I can't remember and it was like hell. I should sleep now (9:00).

Let me think
I was doing a SAT practice test at home. I think it would be easy if it were in Japanese but, of course it is not Japanese and the tricky questions make me crazy. So, when I don't understand questions, I always ask my dad but he doesn't give me a time to think about it because after he explained it, he answers himself so after I hear his explanation, I always run away from Dad with the text books and do it myself. But, he doesn't like it.

IVC →I am Very Crazy!
Today, I went to IVC to take ESL class which is summer school because I wanted to study English more. Actually my tutor will leave Irvine to San Clemente, so I have to find a new class. Anyway, I went there and took class but it was easy or what we did today was easy. So, I asked the teacher whether I could have a extra homework or not. He said "Are you crazy????" Strange
Last time, I add posted a diary but It didn't show and I feel so sad because I was able to make a good story I think.
Anyway, the 26th is the best day that I've ever had because I went to L-san's big home with family and we had a really good time with L-san friends and family. When I ate a hamborger, I was really happy because I've never eaten a humberger in someone's home, so it was a nice experience.

Sucks on the TEST
Today, I took a SAT math test and as you know, I didn't get a good score on it. 29 out of 55!!!!!!?????? I should die!!!!!! I can't read ENGLISH!!!!!!!!!! I lost my cofidence because after I finished taking the test at the ENA cram school, a ENA teacher said you have to study more. Then, I thought that I shouldn't sleep and need to study stay up until a step before death. Who can help me to improve English skills and make me smart?

My hobbies
Today, I though about what my hobby is and I realized that I don't have one. So, I thought about what I like to do that I always do or something. Anyway, I wasn't able to find it. However, when I study English every day and getting better step by step, it makes me excited or fun.

My mom yells every day and it makes me annoyed. I hate ot! I don't remember when I stared to hate my mom. When we came to America and she had some troubles, I used to listen her complain. As you know, I had a STAR test yesterday. I want to tell what happened after the test. At 12:15, the test was over and I walked home to spend 40 minutes. When I was walking home, I called mom who went to Korean market which is far from my home. I asked "When are you going to go home?" She said "Maybe 1:15." Then, I hung up the phone but I didn't realize that I forgot to bring my key. When I arrived home, it was 12:45 and I thought she would come back soon. BUT she didnt! STORY about friend
I have a Korean friend because many Koreans hate me ,so I have just one Korean friend who always eat lunch with and has the same classes with me. BUT, he always tells me "you are loser, bitch, and shot up dumb. " These are nice words. When I heard them first time, I didn't ccare, but I'm getting irritated about it because he told me them 10 times or more in the each periods!!! I wanted to say F word to him but I was nice boy s0, I was patient. I still has a grudge against him, so today he didn't bring lunch and tried to eat my lunch. But I said "why are you tring to eat lunch without asking?" He said "Because it's mine" But, I replied "Loser doesn't want to give you luch." He responed "OK. you are not loser." Finally, he didn't tell me loser but he is still saying bitch and dumb. continue.........

Today, I have a STAR test which is a California standardized test, but I'm not sure. Anyway, I took it and I did my best. These tests are hard for me, so I always use guesses and educated guesses that I explained last time because I didn't know how to prepare for it. When I asked teachers how to review these tests, They asnwer "do your BEST". How can I do my best when I can't even understand the questions!

Today, I reviewed for the STAR test. It is so hard to do because I didn't understand the questions and vocabulary. But I was able to get the whole story so, I realized my English has improved.

Depression
Everything is getting worse because I expect too much. I know people can't skip these steps which means I have to learn English step by step. BUT, why do my expectation is too high and why do I want to get 100% on the tests??? Because I love to learn English, so I can study more than other people (I can do more) however, I don't get better grades than them. I'm in quicksand.

Pronouciation
Every day, I learn new words and I always use those. So, I have a problem: I don't know how to pronounce exactly. I can't say "year" or bother. When I said "bother" to my teacher, he said "boader??". I didn't say taht!!! But many people hear it because of my pronounciation........... I need more practice.

Educated Guess
Today, I took a practice test with my friend and I got 75% and he got 85% on it. When I asked him "How come you got a good score?" He said "It's like an educated guess." What the heck is that? I've never heard it before. And I didn't get even it was joke.

The best way to learn ENGLISH!
Today, some of my friends taught me new vocabulary which is fag, faggot(I'm not sure about the spelling), superfluouos, and garrulous(????). I got those meanings and how to use them. When I learned those, I decided to ask new vocabulary everyday of every single person! So, it is going to be like if I ask new words to 10 friends everyday, after a month, I will learn three-thousand words and after a year, thirty-six thousand words. I can be smart! LOL

Today, I finished taking the tests for this week, but I don't feel good because you know it, right? Every teacher tells me that you need to study English for 3 years or more, if you want to be good at it. Yesterday, I took the History Test and English Tests. I studied really hard and I always get up at 5 o'clock and I go to bed at 11 o'clock. Guess What?? The tests were horrible!!!!!!!! When I started to take the tests up, I wanted to tear the tests. Now, I got over it.

My imagination
Today, I took a easy English test but I only got 2 out of 5 which causes are my imagination. When I read the sentences, I was able to understand them but when I read the questions, I wasn't able to understand them actually, I didn't read carefully so, I tend to skip unimportant words and I make original sentences. As the result, the easy test is going to be hard! But I'm glad to notice them and I may get a good score at the SAT and TOEFL.

The purpose of technology is to make life easier for people. people are always thinking about their daily lives but they don't think about the long-term effects on human health or the earth. I have two examples of the good and bad faces of technology.
Now, people can ride cars, buses, trains, or airplanes when they go somewhere. The good side is that they save a lot of time, don't feel tired, and can go whenever they want. On the other hand, the bad effect is to pollute the air, because vehicles exhaust carbon dioxide and other gases which destroy the ozone and cause acid rain.
Another example is the computer. It gives us the ability to send messages are e-mail, to watch movies, and to research. The computer has become very useful and is a necessity of life, however everything has an effect. In this case, if people use the computer, they won't need to communicate face to face anymore. It means that people lose the ability to make friends in the real world. There are also electrical emanations from computers that may affect humans. We should be aware that though computers are useful, they can also have harmful effects.

Meeting and my friends
Today, I went to the ELD parent's meetingand explained the meeting about how I study English. I was nevous to talk because there were many people in there so, I couldn't speak clearly. But I noticed that people didn't care whether I speak clearly or not. They were interested in what I had to say.
I noticed that most people are selfish when they think about their benefit because when I asked my friend,J, "Help me to do my volunteer work", he said "absolutely not!! and I'm tired!!"
WHAT TA HECK is that!!!!!!! He ALWAYS say "Friends are more important than any other but
he told me NO! I want to ask him again what is most important to you.
In addition, this volunteer work is not detention!
